GOPA US Welcomes Patrick Fine as New Chair of its Board of Directors
Washington, DC, 21 of November 2023 – GOPA US, the recently established U.S. subsidiary of GOPA Consulting Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Fine as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Fine brings extensive experience in international development, particularly in the areas of global health, education, and humanitarian response. He has served in senior positions in both the public and non-profit sectors, including as the CEO of FHI 360, a leading global development non-profit, and as the Vice President for Compact Operations at the Millennium Development Corporation. He has served in senior positions within the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), including as the senior Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Africa Bureau and Mission Director in Afghanistan.

Currently a senior non-resident fellow at the Brookings Institution’s Center for Sustainable Development, Fine is a frequent speaker and writer on international and human development. He brings a unique blend of public, private and non-profit sector experience, with a profound understanding of challenges and opportunities. His tenure in the career foreign service at USAID, coupled with his hands-on approach to development, reflects his belief that proximity to the issues and people is crucial for comprehending the context and nature of challenges to be addressed.
