In a nutshell

Overall, the project aims at supporting the efforts of the Government of Ivory Coast (GoCI) to reducing gender disparities in terms of access to equitable and quality education and professional Training. 

Through this Technical Assistance, GOPA supports the development of a policy governing gender integration in education and training, as well as institutionalizing it under the National Ministry and operationalising the new gender unit.

Our involvement:

• Help creating a new unit in charge of gender and female integration into education and training and support its operationalization under the MENETFP;
• Support the development of a policy document governing gender and female integration into education and training and a respective implementation framework including a gender policy
• Help developing and implementing a priority based plan of actions with costing with MENETFP and in collaboration with its principal partners
• Build capacities of the new unit and of its principal partners to implement the new policy  
• Monitor progress for all outputs
• Engage in communication
