GOPA Infra is now present in Costa Rica
GOPA Infra signed a contract in Costa Rica to reduce NRW in the country. The project has a duration of 5 years and is funded by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the KfW.
Together with TYPSA GOPA Infra is working towards an ecologically sustainable and economically efficient management of water resources through the reduction and continuous control of unbilled water, made up of authorised unbilled consumption and 'real' (physical) and 'apparent' (commercial) water losses, reported in past years to be as high as 50%; and the optimisation of energy efficiency mainly within the water distribution networks, operated by the Instituto Costarricense de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA – the Executing Agency of the project).
