B&S EUROPE has acquired EWC.
EWC, main member of the ICE Group, joins Business and Strategies in Europe (B&S EUROPE), therefore consolidating the strategic positioning of the GOPA Consulting Group (GCG) as the European leader in the consulting industry for development and international partnerships.
As main member of the ICE Group, EWC is a company under Belgian law which is specialised in the implementation of technical assistance projects and programmes financed by technical and financial partners. With around thirty employees at the headquarters in Brussels and in its various offices in France, Turkey, Romania and in Africa, as well as experts and support staff in several countries, EWC provides technical assistance services in various areas such as governance and public management.
Over the past thirty years, EWC has supported the development efforts of several countries with the financial support of development partners such as the European Commission (EC), the World Bank (WB), and Belgian Cooperation Agency (ENABEL) among others. In this regard, EWC has implemented hundreds of technical assistance projects and programmes in Africa and globally, some of them in close partnership with B&S Europe whose area and sector of intervention made it already a partner of choice. The synergies and complementarities between EWC and B&S EUROPE make it a unique opportunity to consolidate our presence and positioning in the segment of economic, institutional and democratic governance.
“We are particularly delighted that EWC, as a main member of the ICE Group, is joining B&S EUROPE and the GOPA Consulting Group. The contribution of the expertise of the two companies as well as a similar corporate culture will undoubtedly make it possible to base our interventions on a common vision built on plurality and capitalisation of our experiences, enabling greater success and impact for the beneficiaries we serve,” said Rafael Comenge, Managing Director of B&S Europe.
“Joining B&S and the GOPA Consulting group will allow the excellent permanent staff of EWC to evolve into another dimension, to eliminate our main competitor, to weld at the same time our links with our well-known partner, to merge two complementary teams and benefit from the technical and financial advantages of the powerful GOPA Group in order to help even better the countries that we are honored to support,” indicated Christian Linck, Administrator of EWC and Managing Director of ICE.
The integration of EWC into B&S EUROPE allows us both to consolidate our position as a key player in technical assistance in the Governance and Institutional Reforms sector, but also to maintain an organic progression growth initiated in 2013 when joining the GOPA Group.
